Tim Tebow was born in 1987 and is currently the quarterback for the Florida Gators. Homeschooled Tebow played for his local high school team and had a very impressive college football career. Currently Tim Tebow holds the record for being the first sophomore to be awarded the Heisman Trophy. He was also the first ever college player to rush and pass for 20 touchdowns in one season.
During the 2007 season Tebow became the starting quarterback for the Florida Gators and made the most total and rushing touchdowns in one season. He also won other prestigious sports honors including the Maxwell Award, the James E. Sullivan Aware and the Davey O’Brien Award. Tim Tebow also holds the distinction of being the first homeschooled student to win the Heisman Trophy. There is a pending state bill in Alabama to allow homeschooled students to play for their local high school team.
