		<description>I would say the open market.  Something is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it, in my opinion.  Of course, there are "appraisers," but they're only estimates.

If I were you, I'd post it up for sale on eBay.  You can set a high reserve price so you don't have to sell it unless the top bid reaches $X,XXX (or whatever you want).  This would be a good way to measure the item's interest and it's potential selling price.</description>
