If you want to give your rec room that special something extra, how about a portable home bar? You’ll be serving up favorite cocktails and drinks in convenience with one of these drink stations. While some rec rooms have full permanent bars installed, there are certainly advantages to choosing a portable bar instead. Portable bars are able to be moved from place to place, which is ideal if you ever do plan to move or want to take your bartending kit to a party. Even moving it from room to room can be a plus over the permanent bar.

Another thing about portable bars is that they are much smaller than permanent bars, which is perfect for the rec room with limited space. Not only are they smaller, but they cost substantially less than installing and stocking a full permanent home bar. And, you can actually hide a portable bar which is ideal for parents with children. Even though these bars often lock closed, hiding them can save space and keep kids away from harm. A full home bar is much easier for youngsters to access which is definitely a downside to having a permanent bar.

There are many different types of portable home bars for you to consider. Wood is a popular option for many rec rooms because it goes with any décor and lasts a long time. Not only that, but a portable wood bar can blend into your existing furniture quite nicely if you match the finish and the tabletop can be used for displaying collectibles or other items when not in use. Some of the more lavish wood portable bars swing open to accommodate bar stools for a total bar experience. And, they have plenty of room for all your bottles, glasses and accessories.

If a wood bar is not your style, think about stainless steel. The Lynx Cocktail Station is an excellent example of a chrome portable home bar. You’ll be amazed at the features this and portable bars like it come with. With the Lynx model you actually get a sink with water filter, ice bin, bottle opener, cutting board, flip out shelves and much more. You can turn your rec room into a top-notch bar with a cocktail station such as this one. And, if you want to take it elsewhere the portability allows you to do just that.

Regardless of the type of bar you choose, researching and comparing different portable home bars is a must if you want to get the best product for your rec room at a price you can afford. Portable home bars come in many sizes, materials and prices. When stocking your bar, take the amount of available space into consideration before heading to the liquor store. While you might decide to stock up on the classic liquors like bourbon, vodka and gin, filling your liquor cabinet should be based on your favorites rather than what you think you should have — unless you throw lots of cocktail parties.

Known as the King of Pop, Michael Jackson was the most beloved yet controversial music entertainer of his time. Born Michael Joseph Jackson, he first broke into show business as a member of the Jackson 5 with his brothers. In 1971, Jackson pursued his solo career and was extremely successful. He holds the Guinness World Record for Most Successful Entertainer of All Time. Bearing this in mind, it’s not surprising to hear that there is plenty of memorabilia linked to Jackson.

Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009 at the age of 50. His passing was sudden, unexpected and extremely controversial because of the circumstances surrounding it. At the time of his death, he was preparing for a musical comeback and suffered a massive cardiac arrest from which he could not be revived. Jackson was the father of several children who have been placed under the care of his mother, Katherine Jackson. In addition to his brothers, sisters Janet, LaToya and Rebbie have found varying levels of success in the music business also.

If you’re on the hunt for Michael Jackson memorabilia, now is the time to buy. The market is flooded with King of Pop memorabilia in part because of Jackson’s sudden death as well as the impending comeback that never happened. And of course, the immense career success Jackson enjoyed for decades. There are many different categories in which you can find various items related to Michael Jackson.

For example, you can find vintage and retro clothes and accessories from the 80′s that mirrored Michael’s unique style – the red jacket with zippers he wore in Thriller, the sparkling socks, the legendary one glove. Also you may want to search for posters, autographed photos, albums, DVDs, CDs, items from Neverland Ranch and more. You might even want to look for Jackson memorabilia dating back to the 1970′s or before. There is certainly no shortage of Michael Jackson memorabilia for collectors to choose from.
